Where we are committed to providing excellent standards of care for the holistic development of your child.

Blath Beag Creche opened its doors in 2008 and was taken over by Aoife in 2010 in our Clochog service. Since then we have grown and opened the purpose built Abhainn Na Ri in 2013 and in 2019 we have opened the doors of our purpose-built pre-school and after school right in the heart of the village in close proximity to all the schools.

Our Mission

Our mission statement is to prepare and provide the most natural and life enhancing environment for the child, observing the children and continually adapting the environment to support the fulfilment of the child’s greatest potential – physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.

We aim to provide a safe, warm, stimulating age appropriate environment, where all children are encouraged to learn grow and actively explore. We strive to provide a happy, secure and caring environment, for the purpose of inner development and learning.

Our Ethos

At this centre, we provide a warm, caring atmosphere where children can learn, develop and grow. We hope to develop a sense of trust and partnership between parents, children and the caregivers that may evolve through being able to communicate various needs and knowing that these needs will be respected.

It is important to develop a consistency between child care practices at home and those at our Centre to enhance the children’s general feeling of security within themselves and to develop strong relationships with the adults in our Centre.

The growth and development of each child is monitored closely in our Service.

Guidance and support, provided through our programming, attempt to foster the total development of the children at their own rate. We aim to guide your children in becoming an effective learner through creating an environment that is challenging and stimulating.

Generally, our aim is to assist your children to develop all the skills necessary now and in later years. Children learn through play, and the daily program includes creative experiences such as painting, collage, music, stories and language combined with free-play both indoors and outdoors, which encourages the social, physical and thinking skills.

Incredible group of people that genuinely love and nurture all children in their care. They go above and beyond for the children. On a freezing cold day in winter, a staff member walked to tescos in the frost just to get dairy free products for my daughter so she could have a hot chocolate with the other kids. They are amazing. This is the best Creche ever. I’m doing my work experience in this Blath Beag Creche and After School in Oranmore and every time I arrive into the Creche for work experience all the staff are so welcoming and they always have the children all so happy 😀 with lots of games and activities and even outdoor activities.
